INFORMING, EDUCATING AND STIMULATING THE
CARDIOVASCULAR COMMUNITY
PCR is an organisation dedicated to education and information in the field of cardiovascular therapies, most notably for interventional cardiology. Its activities cover a large spectrum, from the organisation of annual courses in Europe and Asia to editing a scientific journal, publishing textbooks as well as providing training seminars on thematic subjects.

THE LEADING CARDIOVASCULAR COURSE

The mission of EuroPCR is to contribute to the advancement of education and information in the field of percutaneous coronary interventions.

EuroPCR is the flagship congress of the PCR family, attracting over 11,500 attendees from the four corners of the globe. Open-mindedness, innovation and a patient-centred approach are the fundamental building blocks of EuroPCR.
The combination of discussion and debate on the different treatment options - in a constructive manner - makes EuroPCR a unique peer-to-peer forum with interactive learning the main objective. By working in close collaboration with the national societies and working groups, EuroPCR has built a programme that has its roots firmly planted in the needs of the cardiovascular community.
With a bottom-up approach that shares the responsibility of the scientific programme with the many different European societies, we combine the best technical, innovative, scientific and evidence-based sessions for 4 days of stimulating learning.
Bringing together the entire cardiovascular community, EuroPCR 2010 provides you with a richly educational experience and an international platform for expression. EuroPCR is this official congress of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI).

The mission of AsiaPCR/SingLIVE is to contribute to the advancement of education and information in the field of cardiovascular intervention in the Asia-Pacific region.

Our long-term goal is to build a plat form of expression, open to the national and international Societies and health care professionals of the Asian Pacific region, all willing to share their experience, knowledge and expertise.

DESIGNED TO REDUCE THE LEARNING CURVE OF THE HEART TEAM

The mission of PCR London Valves is to contribute to the advancement of education and information in the field of transcatheter valve treatment with the aim of reducing the learning curve of the heart team.

Over the past four years there has been an explosion of interest in transcatheter treatments of both the aortic and mitral valves. Many of these treatments are now reaching a level of maturity that is leading to their introduction in routine clinical practice.
PCR London Valves, designed as a truly multidisciplinary, meeting for the whole heart team, will combine live case demonstrations, panel discussions, tips & tricks and didactic lectures on what we have learnt so far, patient selection, complications, how to build a heart team and the latest data.
Innovation will be showcased through the exhibition forum and the innovation corner, providing visibility to both the smaller and larger companies who play a pivotal role in bringing new technology into the hands of physicians.
The meeting, chaired by Dr Martyn Thomas, is hosted by Kings Health Partner’s, from Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College Hospital, and managed by PCR. The first edition of PCR London Valves will take place at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge in London, on October 11th - 12th, 2010.

PCR publishing edits scientific publications such as EuroIntervention Journal and medical textbooks. The first two medical reference books will be available late August and mark the beginning of a series of reference volumes which will grow in 2011.

EuroIntervention, an international, English peer-reviewed journal, published in both print and web formats, strives to create a forum of high-quality research and education in the field of percutaneous and surgical cardiovascular intervention.
The official publication of EuroPCR and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), EuroIntervention is endorsed by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
The journal is indexed in MEDLINE/PubMed (Abbreviation: EuroIntervention). TAILOR-MADE EDUCATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR SMALL AUDIENCES ENHANCING INTERACTIVITY

PCR Seminars are tailor-made educative solutions for small and clearly identified audiences within the cardiovascular community: this will translate into modular sessions of maximum 2 days each, with a limited number of participants - ideally no more than 20 - to foster real and fruitful interactivity.

In a more and more complex environment, with an overload of continuous and non-discriminated information, there is a real demand for adapting educational content to individual and local needs: PCR seminars aims to fulfil this gap! No top-down approach, on the contrary, PCR seminars focus on calling data relevant to individual experience of the participants, relying on their capacity to understand rathern than memory retention. Participants become a permanent source of experience themselves, therefore a source of education.
Experts in the cardiovascular field are selected to develop and deliver these sessions, based on an innovative approach. These experts undergo a specific training module prior to delivering PCR seminars, with a team of adult learning specialists.
The foundation of PCR seminars lies in the specificity of the adult learning process (Visionary Transformative Adult Learning - VITAL), where experience and reflection are key in apprehending new knowledge and skills.
